“In a Zhytomyr civilian building bombed by the Russian army, near Belarus, kids have to abandon their lives to escape and survive #istandwithukraine ????????”

“Here in #zhytomyr, Ukraine in an apartment completely destroyed by the bombing of the Russian army, I chose to paint also portraits of children of some of my friends, because this tragedy concerns all of us. Last night I had a dream that my son was very sick but grace spared my child and our children- in-line the children of Ukraine”

“Today I was in Zhytomyr, a Ukrainian city near Belarus where rockets have been dropped on EC again, yesterday during the night. I have been painting children faces on a building totally destroyed by Russian bombs. It has been very painful but important to see the reality of the situation there. #istandwithukraine

“The city of Lviv, in the west of Ukraine has been airstriked yesterday… I can say to you, this is a big shock for everybody there. Please give full support and full love to Ukraine and all the people of Ukraine ????????#IStandWithUkraine ????????”

“The Russians killed 6 people, including civilians, on the day they bombed the Kyiv TV tower (Телев віза) in early March, just steps away from the site of Babi Yar, a ravine where the Nazis shot dead over 30,000 Jews in 2 days in 1941. An iconic place. A rocket also hit a nearby building. I painted this dignified and powerful face of a young Ukrainian girl photographed in 1935. Strength and courage to the Ukrainians, and to the people of Kyiv who have endured a month of siege and airstrikes. #istandwithukraine ????????”

“In Jytomyr, near Belarus, in a flat destroyed by Russian rockets, I did this portrait of my son Gabin, thinking of him in this tiny room where an Ukrainian kid had to abandon his life to escape and survive #istandwithukraine ????????”
